Irish Oak Cheeseboard

After being forced indoors today thanks to hurricane Rachel, I decided to do something with an off-cut gnarly piece of seldom found Irish oak. It was taken from a wind fall trunk I came across a few years ago and had sawn up. Extremely tough stuff and hard to work with but with a bit of patience, and the acceptance that it never “finishes up” like beech, you do get very pleasing results.
